Once we decide that porcelain veneers are right for you, we start by removing a very small bit of tooth enamel so the veneers will fit your teeth perfectly. Then we take impressions and help you choose the right shade for your finished veneers. The impressions are sent to a dental lab, where your veneers are custom made according to our exact specifications.

When your veneers are finished, you'll return to our office and we will bond the veneers securely to the front surface of your teeth. Once they are in place, we polish and shape them to perfection. With regular dental visits and proper care, your veneers will keep your smile beautiful for many years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Staining of teeth can be intrinsic or extrinsic. Intrinsic staining is below the surface of the tooth and is harder to remove. Extrinsic staining is stain on the surface of the tooth such as residue from food or drink and build-up that covers the tooth enamel.

Intrinsic stain may require teeth whitening either in-office or at-home whitening products. This type of stain is not removed with whitening toothpaste.

Extrinsic stain removal will respond well with regular dental cleanings and brushing teeth with whitening toothpaste.

If you choose to use whitening toothpaste, make sure your product has a fluoride or anti-cavity containing ingredient. Without this ingredient, you are more prone to cavities.

We do not currently offer in-office teeth whitening treatments. However, we are happy to discuss alternative options to help you achieve a brighter, whiter smile!

There are many over-the-counter whitening treatments readily available for purchase; however, professional whitening is generally safer and more effective. Applicator trays in over-the-counter kits are usually “one size fits all,” which can result in them fitting uncomfortably in your mouth since they aren’t designed specifically for your teeth. Whitening gels included with this type of product can sometimes be too abrasive or can leak because of ill-fitting trays, leading to gum and other soft tissue irritation

If you prefer to whiten your teeth at your convenience, your dentist may provide you with a custom at-home whitening kit. Your applicator trays will be made just for you, and the strength of the whitening gel will be chosen to meet your needs. You will be given specific instructions for how to use it safely.

We also provide another option without a custom tray. Our Opalescene Go take-home trays are an easy way to whiten. We offer two different strengths in a box of ten treatments. This is a great affordable option instead of the custom trays. We provide instructions to use at home safely.

After this kind of whitening treatment, you will typically be asked to schedule a follow-up visit with our office to check on your progress
